We will interact with the computing system at HLRS via SSH, and need therefore a SSH client. Under Linux and MacOS this should already be available. For example, on Windows you can use MobaXterm. Further information can be found in the instructions for accessing the HLRS training system.
In addition, for the visualization we want to use Paraview on the HLRS computing system. Paraview is available for free, you can download and install it on your system.
In order to avoid copying the resulting data to your own system, there is a post-processing node on the cluster available. Unfortunately, this is not enough for all participants at the moment, and we can only use it for demonstration purposes. For the visualization on the cluster itself you need locally the TurboVNC.
