public subroutine ply_transfer_dofs_3D(indat, inspace, indegree, outdat, outspace, outdegree)
Transfer of degrees of freedom from one polynomial to another in 3D.
If the indat is larger than outdat, the higher modes are truncated.
If outdat is larger, higher modes are padded with zeros.
When different multidimensional polynomial layouts are used, the modes
are copied to to the corresponding locations.

Solid arrows point from a procedure to one which it calls. Dashed
arrows point from an interface to procedures which implement that interface.
This could include the module procedures in a generic interface or the
implementation in a submodule of an interface in a parent module.
