Taylor-Green Vortex with LES Turbulence Models at Re = 1600

In this example, we will investigate the creation and evolution of vortices in a simple pre-defined cube with periodic boundaries and different turbulence models. For this case, the Reynolds number (Re) is set to 1600.

A detailed description of the general test case can be found in the parent directory Description of test case TGV.

The objective of the TGV-LES examples are to introduce the following turbulence models in Musubi:

In these test cases, in addition to the aforementioned features, you will also learn how to:

  • Post-processing nd visualization in Paraview.
  • Create a 2D plot using Gleaner tool. Gleaner is a Python tool which extracts data from Musubi ascii output and uses matplotlib in python library to create a plot.
